If you have not seen the CodeGirl documentary movie yet, please take the time to check it out. I watched it a couple of weekends ago with my 8 year old daughter and we found it very inspiring. It follows teams of girls from around the world that were working hard to develop apps to help their community. They were all competing in the Technovation 2015 competition.
Some main points:
- girls can create apps, develop business plans, collaborate together and be successful individually & in teams
- it also shows set-backs and how well girls cope with rejection (only 6 teams make it to the finals)
- it is super inspiring to see girls work together, identify issues in their community and then try to solve them via an app startup
- this documentary is great for schools, parents, business owners/managers, IT professionals and girls
